Sri Guru Gyta (Śrī Guru Gītā) is a sacred song, hymn, which glorifies the Guru (spiritual wizard). In the Guru Gita hymn, Lord Shiva reveals the secrets of supreme knowledge to his wife and disciple Parvate. Shiva is the Guru of Yoga who has given yoga teaching to humanity.
He is also called Adi Guru, Adi Nath (Lord of Yoga, Master). From Shiva began the line of Nathi Yogis Guru. Guru is a spiritual master who attains unity, He is the authority of sacred teaching.
In this book, Guru Mai Ram passes on to the readers a direct translation of the hymn from Sanskrit, inserting in some passages his commentary, consistent with classical yoga teaching.
